Although numbers were down on our usual we still had an amazing race weekend at Grampian Kart Club on Saturday and The Grampian Motorcycle Convention on Sunday. We were joined by racers from England again this round, Skyzone’s Richard Blakeman [3rd Scottish Masters 2011] and Chris Hodgston [currently in the lead of the 450 and open elite championship]. D3 brought up Oliver Heart [enduro rider but 2nd time raced in Scottish Supermoto], Ben Stafford [currently in the lead of the 250 championship] and Neil Crayston [team boss].

Douglas Cunningham remains unbeaten at Boyndie in 2011, this time winning on the Motosupplies/Aquarius 450cc Huqvarna which he races in the British Supermoto Championship. Chris Hodgston kept the pressure on Dougie every race, finishing in 3rd in one race and 2nd in the other two. Richard Blakeman finished consistantly in 3rd position, Gary McLuskey in 4th. It was a close race between Jack Gow, Scott Murray, Ben McLuskey and Jamie Black who battled for 5th, 6th 7th and 8th. Another racer who deserves a mention is Neil Crayston for qualifying 9th in the A’s ahead of his team mates.

Good racing as ever in the B group as well, Ben Stafford qualified on pole position in the B races consistently throughout the day on his 350cc KTM. Jamie Duncan came 2nd in the B’s overall and Grahame Coull in 3rd. Other racers who deserve a mention are Euan Davidson for his struggle past Dave Mitch who just would not budge or make an error and Ian Bremner who had a lot of work to do fighting from last on the grid to 3rd place.

In the mini supermoto Kirsty Bremner won all three races against Sean Wardlaw. Alistair Cunningham was not racing.

The racers at the Grampian Motorcycle Convention put on a great show, all the spectators loved it. The weather was perfect, you can see photos on
